Group Fundraisers
Group Organizers - Ideally, your group members will pay for their own postcard kits and stamps. We place large volume print orders to pass that savings on, offering postcard kits at the lowest possible cost. We provide stamps at cost.
However, USPS doesn't offer a volume discount for postcard stamps, so stamp expenses are by far the most significant portion of the overall material cost. And with Postmaster General Louis DeJoy raising stamp rates every 6 months, your group may need to raise funds to help pay for stamps.
To identify your fundraising goals, you will need to estimate the total number of postcards you plan to complete. Typically, each person can complete 20-30 postcards in an hour. Each stamp is 53 cents as of February 2024. From here, you can estimate how much money you'll need to raise.
In-person Fundraiser
During in-person postcard events, pass around a donation jar and collect donations.
Online Fundraiser
We are on ActBlue! You can create a community fundraiser for Blue Wave via this link. Select Blue Wave Postcard Movement as the Recipients, and include your group name in the Form title. Set a fundraising goal. Tell us when you're done. We will be able to see how much you have raised and allocate the stamps for your group.
