On Sunday, 5/15/22, We held our first in-person postcard event since the pandemic started two years ago. It was great to see many of you again after too many virtual meetings - thanks so much for joining us!
We followed our long established tradition of inviting candidates, elected officials, and non-profit leaders to speak in our events. We hosted a lively discussion with Boulder County Commissioner candidates Ashley Stolzmann and Elaina Shively, moderated by former Colorado State House Representative Jonathan Singer.
Jennifer Parenti also joined us. She is running for the state house seat in HD19 against a MAGA Republican candidate who is in the pocket of gas & oil (and anti-choice to boot). HD-19 is a new competitive district covering Dacono, Erie, Frederick, Firestone, East Longmont and surrounding areas. Fossil fuel development is a key issue in the district, in addition to policing, diversity, and affordable housing.
We were blown away by all three candidates! Ashley currently serves as the Mayor of Louisville, Elaina works in Boulder County DA's office, and Jennifer has served in the US military for many years.
